PRAYER IS ONE OF OUR CORE VALUES.

Prayer Ministry

We believe In, stand on, and live the truth that God still responds to people’s prayers.

Prayer as Part of Worship

Prayer is a part of our worship service.  Our altars are open during worship.  People enter our service dealing with the trouble of last week and the worries of next week.  This provides them an opportunity to do business with God.  Some take the opportunity to enhance their worship with prayer of thanksgiving.  Others find the opportunity to lay their burdens at Jesus’ feet.  And others find it a time to work on their relationship with God.  We have prayer partners that will pray with you and for you if you would like them to.

First Wednesday Prayer Night

The First Wednesday night of every month has been set aside for a church-wide prayer meeting. Because we are committed to becoming a house of prayer, we suspend all other church activities during the first week of each month so that this prayer meeting is our priority. Our sanctuary doors are open at 6:30 for those who would enjoy a time of personal (on your own) prayer. Prayer stations are also set up so that you can pray for specific prayer points during that time. At 7 pm, we will begin a time of worship and prayer over an open Bible as a group, followed by a time of praying for needs.

Prayer is vital and necessary if we are going to accomplish all God has called us to do at Faith Outreach. Prayer is not just something we do; it is a part of who we are.

Below you will find some verses on prayer that we stand on:

Ephesians 6:18

18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

James 5:13

13 Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray.

Psalm 145:18

18 The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.

Philippians 4:6

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Colossians 4:2

2 Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

James 5:16

16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
